Dean's Message

Welcome to the College of Science at the University of Notre Dame. Through the pages of this website you will gain an understanding of our world-class faculty, students, and alumni.

The College of Science integrates excellent education with opportunities for research and service. View the profiles of several of our undergraduate students who demonstrate the variety of research experiences available to science majors.  In keeping with the Catholic mission, we encourage our students to apply their science knowledge and research training in a way that benefits the local community as well as society as a whole.

We believe our research should be directed toward solving problems to improve the quality of life for mankind. We have added a number of video interviews with some of our top researchers. I invite you to listen as they explain their cutting-edge research covering a wide variety of topics including antibiotic resistance, tumor growth, and the mechanisms involved with the spread of cancer and infectious diseases.
