Department Description: The Preprofessional Studies Department at Notre Dame has earned a reputation for preparing undergraduates for admission into the top medical and dental schools. The college’s Preprofessional Program ranks 11th in the nation in the number of students matriculating at medical schools each year.  Notre Dame’s reputation for producing high-quality applicants is so widespread that the acceptance rate has annually hovered around 80%, compared with the national rate of near 50%.
