The following describes a standard Linux installation on a personal computer:

Linux Red Hat latest release.
The machine will be setup as a cluster-style machine with AFS client and Open
SSH.
If the installation is being performed as a cleanup after a problem, the user can expect that the hard drive will be re-partitioned. Data recovery after this is impossible! Users are responsible for the regular backup of their own files.
