The Chemistry Department provides excellent opportunities for undergraduate research to complement their rigourous course work. The college’s Preprofessional Program ranks 11th in the nation in the number of students matriculating at medical schools each year. Notre Dame’s reputation for producing high-quality applicants is so widespread that the overall acceptance rate has annually hovered around 80%, compared with the national rate of near 50%. |
