Professor Frank Castellino, the Kleiderer-Pezold Professor of Biochemistry and director of the WM Keck Center for Transgene Research, has been selected as the recipient of the 2008 WYETH-ISFP Prize. The prize is given to investigators who have made outstanding contributions to the field of fibrinolysis, proteolysis, and thrombolysis.
He was chosen by an international jury composed of members selected from the Advisory Board of the International Society for Fibrinolysis and Proteolysis and from previous prize winners. The 2008 WYETH-ISFP Prize is generously sponsored by WYETH, in a continuous effort to promote and stimulate high quality research in the field of fibrinolysis and proteolysis. Castellino will receive the $10,000 prize and deliver an honorary plenary lecture at the 19th International Congress on Fibrinolysis and Proteolysis in Vienna, Austria, July 6-10, 2008.
