Faculty Profile :: Jessica Hellmann

Biologist Jessica Hellmann recently received a 2006 Career Enhancement Fellowship for Junior Faculty. 

This award is funded by the Andrew W. Mellow Foundation and is administered by the Woodrow Wilson National Fellowship Foundation.  The award is granted to 20 individuals per year from applications across science, social science, and humanities.  The purpose of the fellowship is to assist "talented junior faculty to pursue scholarly research and writing during the fellowship year."  The fellowship period is June, 2006 through June, 2007.

Founded in 1945, the Woodrow Wilson National Fellowship Foundation is an independent, nonprofit organization dedicated to the encouragement of excellence in education through the identification of critical needs and the development of effective national programs to address them.  This combination of analysis and translation into action is the Foundation’s unique contribution.
