Rev. Thomas Streit, CSC, has received international acclaim for working among impoverished Haitians to halt the spread of a parasitic disease, called lymphatic filariasis (LF).
Father Streit has spent the last 11 years of his life recruiting and training young Haitians to spread the word to villages that LF is caused by a microscopic worm and that it can be defeated with proper medication.
